About Mikhal

Created by Michelle Taieb  A Life of Faith, A Brand of Beauty

Mikhal is the heart and hands of Michelle Taieb, a Paris-born Jewish woman with Algerian, Spanish and Moroccan roots. Her life has been a journey, from raising her children with love and strength, to deepening her relationship with God through both hardship and joy.

Though she did not grow up religious, Michelle slowly and powerfully reconnected to her faith. Through life’s ups and downs, she found that Judaism was always waiting for her, not just in books or prayers, but in the home, in beauty, and in the sacred details of everyday rituals.

It was through creating a Jewish home, setting the Shabbat table with care, surrounding her family with meaningful Judaica, and making holidays feel special, that Michelle discovered a new form of spiritual expression. She realized that mitzvot can take many shapes, and that beauty is a pathway to connection.

Out of this passion, Mikhal was born.
Not as a business idea, but as a natural extension of her love for faith, family, and tradition.

The World of Mikhal

Michelle designs and creates every piece with intention and soul. Her collections are inspired by Jewish rituals and holidays, elevated by her refined aesthetic and deep cultural roots. Each creation reflects her belief that spirituality should be both meaningful and beautiful.

What “Mikhal” Means

The name Mikhal comes from the Hebrew “Who is like God?”, a question of humility and awe. It’s also a feminine name that carries beauty, strength, and quiet devotion. To Michelle, it represents the essence of what she hopes to bring into Jewish homes: light, meaning, and connection.

A Message from Michelle

“Creating Mikhal was never about launching a brand, it was about sharing a way of life. I believe that when rituals feel beautiful, we want to participate. That’s how we connect. That’s how we bring God into our homes. And that’s why I created this, to help others do the same.”
